Hello & Welcome!

My name is Whitley! I am so honored that you are here, on my site, reading about me.…

A starting point for my story is hard to pin, because in hindsight, everything in life has led me here....to you. I started working with families following the birth of my nephew. After witnessing my sister-in-laws powerful transition into motherhood, a passion for birth work was ignited and a burning desire turned into a lifelong passion and calling to support women on their journey through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

Over the past nine years, I have eagerly worked with families and single mothers, providing them with physical and emotional support during and after childbirth. I have provided in-home parent support and education, led parent support groups, and coordinated community workshops for parents across the Greater Hartford Area. I am a Certified Interdisciplinary Doula (CID) with Earth’s Natural Touch, a Parent Educator with Parents as Teachers and I have experience using Touch Points a practical, preventative evidence based training approach for building strong family-child relationships. In addition, I am a Circle of Security facilitator, and possess a Family Development Credential to help families set and reach goals for healthy self reliance.

As a qualified Birth Doula I believe deeply in connection and "mothering the mother". After many years of supporting women and their partners in my community, I noticed the lack of support from the "village" women once had to help gently guide them to finding their confidence along their journey as a new mother.

So, to address this shortfall, I began planting the seeds for NuBeing Doula Services to help fill those gaps and ensure that women of all backgrounds are supported in building strong family connections.

My philosophy as a birth worker is to empower families with the knowledge and support needed to write their own story. If you would like to learn more about my services, contact me for a free consultation today.
